The large-scale Coke Oven Gas (COG) to Methanol unit requires an extremely stable and reliable industrial cooling system. Located in Northern China, the project site presents significant environmental and technical challenges:

  • Extreme Temperature Fluctuations: The equipment must maintain high performance during scorching, arid summers and survive bone-chilling winters, requiring superior environmental adaptability.
  • Complex Process Media: Due to the intricate components of Coke Oven Gas and strict limits on pressure drop and heat transfer efficiency in methanol synthesis, the design demands precision engineering.
  • Large-Scale Integration: The massive processing volume requires high-density integration and a near-zero failure rate for the Air Cooled Heat Exchanger (ACHE) units.
Engineering & Design Excellence
  • High-Efficiency Finned Tube Technology: To combat the arid climate, we optimized the material and spacing of our High-Efficiency Finned Tubes. By maximizing the air-side heat transfer coefficient, we ensure that process tower-top temperatures remain within spec even during the hottest summer months.
  • Anti-Freeze & Precision Regulation: For winter operations, the system is equipped with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) fans and an automatic louver control system. This allows for precise exit temperature regulation, effectively preventing medium solidification or overcooling in extreme cold.
  • Superior Corrosion Resistance & Structural Integrity: To withstand the corrosive coking environment, Yuhong Group utilized specialized surface treatments and a reinforced structural frame, ensuring long-term stability against heavy wind and sand erosion.
